Bachelorette Party

My bachelorette party was two weeks ago and I have not had the opportunity to update about our day. In between grieving, the rest of the wedding planning and work I wasn't able to update about much of anything. Now that the wedding is over and we are home from our honeymoon it is finally time to update about everything that's happened over the past few weeks.

I plan to post one, maybe two posts a day until I get caught up. Not too much at once, but hopefully it will get me up to date soon.

Rachel and I had some trouble making a plan for the bachelorette party at first. The original plan was to go to Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar at Universal City Walk. It started out as a good idea, but I quickly realized that I didn't want the entire evening to be focused on drinking. I knew if we went to that bar we would all have a great time, but that we would also be spending extra money on a hotel room or a cab to get home safely.

Knowing me, Rachel planned a bachelorette party that was both fun and easy going.

We started at 9am, meeting at my parents house before getting started. Lorien, Rachel, Jessica and I of course had to pose for a photo op before the day started. Note the bachelorette sash and veil.

We got in the car and put on Bridesmaids. Perfect movie for the drive up.

We started our wine tasting at Sevtap. It was just the first winery we walked by and by far the best of the three we went to. The bartenders sense of humor was dry and hilarious.

My favorite part of this winery were the walls. They were all chalkboards and we were able to write on them. I wrote PS + TM 4 EVA 10-12-12 and the girls each wrote/signed their names next to it. When I showed Patrick the picture he asked who EVA was. Yes, I realize I am a dork and could have just wrote EVER, but whatever.

Me and my girls at Sevtap. The bartender gave me a bottle of wine called Hakuna Matata. It's a merlot. I don't normally like red wine, but this was delicious.

We quickly made our way to the second winery where we all ordered a tasting of all white wines. They were all delicious! We also went to a third winery owned by the same people. I bought a delicious bottle of Moscato that I cannot wait to open and enjoy.

After our wine tasting we got back in the car and headed to the Chumash Indian Casino. I think I was the only one who walked away with any money. I walked away with $5 more than I went in with. I can't complain considering I was able to play 3 card poker almost the entire time we were there. I love 3 card poker..

When we got back to the car we did a quick wardrobe change for dinner. Then we all headed to Santa Barbara.

We got to Santa Barbara a little early. My mom, Jessica's mom and Patrick's mom were all meeting us for dinner and got a little lost on their way. We decided to get drinks at a nearby restaurant. The lemon drop martinis were delicious!

We all met for dinner at an Italian restaurant. It was amazing! They too had delicious lemon drop martini's.

My sister had planned a surprise game for me. She had asked everyone to bring a pair of underwear in a bag. It was my job to guess who brought them. If I was wrong I had to take a sip of my drink. I was wrong a lot.. Everyone was so generous and I cannot begin to explain my gratitude for everyone who was able to celebrate with me.

My last single Saturday was so much more than I could have hoped for. I had so much fun everywhere we went and I was able to cross an item off of my bucket list (#10- go wine tasting). I really could not imagine my wedding without my girls.

I want to particularly thank my matron of honor, my sister and my best friend. You always plan the best outings and I am so thankful to have you in my life. You made this whole experience (engagement, wedding planning, bridal shower, bachelorette party and wedding) amazing and I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for absolutely everything!
